The Tennessee Board of Regents' Office of Access and Diversity (OAD) just announced the 2010-2011 Access and Diversity Initiative Grant program. TBR will entertain applications to fund initiatives that are aligned with the goals of the institutional diversity and strategic plans.
Each campus will be allowed to submit two (2) grants in each of the following areas that are designed to further the system's overall goal of increasing the educational attainment level of all citizens of the state of Tennessee while maintaining a strong focus on the value of diversity to the educational process.
- Student Outreach and Success - Recruitment/Retention
- Faculty/Staff Recruitment/Retention
- Campus climate activities
Within these programs, TBR will entertain the following categories:
- Pilot Program Projects
- Program Enhancement Projects
- One Time Program Grants
- Multi-year Grants
Proposals should serve underrepresented or underutilized populations including, but not limited to, racial/ethnic minorities, the economically disadvantaged, persons with disabilities, or should address issues affecting groups such as diversity or multiculturalism.
Because each University can only submit two (2) proposals for each category, an internal committee will make the final selections for submission to TBR.
